Summary
-
He twirls the marker feather between his fingers. The way Altaïr dips them in the blood of his victims is akin to the way Malik dips his quill in the ink to mark out his maps. The red on the white feathers reminds Altaïr of the day he had carried Malik to the Masyaf fortress healers, his blood staining his white robes like a marker of its own.
He may have not died in Solomon’s Temple, but without his arm, what was left of the life he had left? What was an Assassin without his blade, the very extension of himself?

“It seems we both have very different definitions of 'bad'."
“Have you always wondered why you've these strange dreams? Did it ever feel to you as if you don't belong anywhere? That nothing is true?”, Lucy called after him. Altair slowly turned around. "We can help you find your answers", and for a moment he thought it was true.
