Summary
Ghost had to live with his choices after Mexico; he became an unfeeling husk of the man who cared for the slave Jabon in his time of need. But when he realized John "Soap" MacTavish wasn't as dead as he thought, he didn't act. Johnny became his own man, and Ghost couldn't interfere with that.
Only fate has a way of circling back to the beginning. So, of course, it landed them back in Mexico, fighting for their lives under the new regime.

John is just happy to be working next to the infamous Ghost, a legend, he is in awe of Ghost. Ghost quickly shatters his adoration. Refusing to get close to anyone but especially John "Soap" MacTavish.

Summary
In a different timeline Soap gets critically injured, before being accepted into 141 and cannot work in the field anymore. Price keeps him as as a demolition expert to help from afar. Him and Ghost haven't met each other before this, but because of a mission the two are brought together by Price. Trust is built slowly and the truth hurts most when shared. But maybe it is worth it in the end.

Summary
When he enters the shop this time, Soap is sitting by the front desk. He's scribbling away in a big sketchbook that looks to be well-worn from use, pen quiet against the paper. He looks up when he hears the door open, the little bell chiming once again, and his eyes find Simon's immediately. He smiles, and Simon can't help but stare at the way it makes him appear softer, somehow.
He had spent the weeks since their first meeting trying to convince himself he had overreacted- after all, there was no way the man was actually as beautiful as he’d made himself believe, right? Surely he must've overreacted.
Well, he had been wrong.

Summary
Ghost pushed open the front door of the shop easily, the familiar bell suspended above ringing out softly. It had been exactly 44 days and 44 nights and he couldn’t stop thinking about him. When he wasn’t haunted by the death, decay and despair that surrounded him he dreamt of bright blue eyes and the way his skin had tingled as Johnny decorated him with ink.
