“Nightmare,” Kevin rasped. Andrew slid down the wall to sit next to him, knees up to his chest. The silence was comfortable as Kevin tried to rein in his galloping heart and take in some meaningful breaths.
Andrew sat silently, eyes watchful, but not pushing Kevin to explain further. After the conversation they had, it was half Andrew’s fault that Riko’s hot breath and bruising hands were haunting his dreams. No harm in telling him so.
