Garp knows who he is, and what important to him, and their complex relationship to each other. Justice, a world of order, done in practice by the Marines; His family and their individual ways, whether he approves of or not, they seek justice. He believes in these principles wholeheartedly, with no room for hesitation. Those with strength to execute justice, have no room for wavering, but that doesn't mean there are moments, when Garp doesn't feel as justified.
Love the uncharacteristic relationship between the hero of the marines and our favorite government antagonizers, specifically the rubber one. Watch me try to explore a hypothetical look into his head pre-canon, before Luffy did the danger, with Garp knowing the whole time, trying to stop fallibly

Summary
Charlie has made it, a grand and wondrous destiny beyond his wildest dreams. The owner of Willy Wonka's-- well now his chocolate factory. For a boy living in poverty to be handed possession of the most successful candy empire in the history of the world he's sure, it's still feels like he's dreaming.
But he's not, he's beyond happy to be living in the chocolate factory with his family. With all the oompa loompa and fantastical candy production to oversee.
Wonka hasn't been around too often, which must be normal for him since nobody says anything. Charlie sometimes wonders if he gets lonely, or if he ever had any friends or family to be around.
It's still none of his business to pry into the man's personal life though. Goodness know he owes him way too much already, and Chariie's way too busy exploring the factory to the brim to familiarize himself with everything as well.
But despite his intentions to not pry, there are some interesting things he finds, that may indicate something about man behind the hat. -

At the end of the Tower of Nero, the big fight with python ends with him losing. But maybe not, because Apollo wakes up to find himself, in his Lester Papadopulous mortal form... in southern California, 2006?!?!?!?!
Self-confidence zapped after his failure with the nightmare snake, with no friends or enemies/murderous exes in sight, currently in unknown territory due to recent character development with a different perspective on life, and about half a decade of history regressed. He plans to lie low, and wait this out, while no imminent danger or uncertain perilous fates surround him. This is the past, before his trials, before any of the prophecies meant anything. He should be able to stay of trouble. It's a foolproof plan. Completely. With no flaws. Surely, surely, this time, nothing will go wrong.He should've remembered what Percy Jackson said about jinxing himself.

Summary
Macaque and Monkey King have been through a lot. A lot of breakups, that is.
But through Monkey King's rise to fame, new friends and so much enemies, seriously just so many enemies. So many. Macaque has always been there. And he's not about let him go now.
Flash-forward to present ,things have gotten... better in a manner of speaking. But Macaque still wants more. He wants his King back. So, he maybe, possibly, sort of, kind of, decides to leave Monkey King with no choice but to have him back.
It's totally fine, he had his stupid redemption arc, he's not even trying to hurt him this time around, this will totally work right?
AKA
After a bad 500 or so year break-up Macaque decides he's given Monkey King enough space, and kidnaps him (and eventually Mk too) until they can stop arguing and be back together again. One big happy monkey family.
