“You don’t know a fucking thing about me.”
“Wrong. Seen your type before. A klepto-punk scrapin’ by on scav hunts and delusions, callin’ it survival until you realize that you don't feel alive 'less you got iron in your hand and blood on your face.”
“What about you? Couldn’t even finish the revolution you started, leavin’ everyone else to pick up the pieces after you blew ‘Saka Tower to kingdom fuckin’ come.”
She points to a nearby barricade covered in graffiti, indicating the question scrawled in heavily stylized letters: Where’s Johnny?
“You think you died a legend? That your name is revered? Well, it ain’t. You’re the patron saint of self-destruction - a codeword us street-kids use to signal impending STUPIDITY.”
*****
When Johnny ends up in the head of a street kid from Heywood, he isn't sure what to make of her. She fights fate with a sharp tongue and even sharper steel but on the streets of Night City, even the strong don't always survive.
Told from Johnny's POV, this story takes place during the game but diverges from cannon quite a bit because this V is not a blank slate for the player to inhabit - she's an enigma wrapped in razorwire.

Summary
Sequel to "The Master of Sparrows", formerly known as "A Wolf In the Sparrow's Maze"
After finding a home in Tortall, Numair Salmalin returns to the shadowy world of the Sparrows and meets the girl that will one day help him fulfill his destiny.
Inspired by the Immortals series and Tempest and Slaughter but is basically an AU where Numair meets Daine under different (although somewhat familiar) circumstances.
One day, I hope to finish this fic but it is on Hiatus for the foreseeable future as I've just run into a wall with it.
