Childe's words were cut off as Lumine pushed the handle against Childe's trachea. His clear speech turned into a wheeze as he struggled to gasp for air. Lumine released the pressure, but made sure Childe couldn't move.
Childe gasped and began to spit out his next words, but Lumine decided he needed a little more reinforcement. She leaned in, applying the same pressure as before, Childe's face tensed as he fought against the pain and discomfort. As Lumine released the pressure once more, they wordlessly understood this wasn't sparring anymore.

Finally, after weeks of calling and messaging, Miles had gotten Phoenix to visit his office. He understood it was an incredibly hard time for Phoenix, but why was he just so complacent? He should be trying to get his badge back; he should be fighting to right this wrong. Whatever was happening with Phoenix, Miles would sort it out and help set things right.
There was a knock on the doorframe, and standing in it was Phoenix. He was wearing a white T-shirt and sweats and his iconic blue jacket, unbuttoned and covered in creases. There was a bit of stubble across his face, and his eye bags were pronounced. However, the most unsettling thing Miles noticed was the empty smile Phoenix was wearing.
