Zoey was nervous. She was sitting in the corner of her room, in her mother’s apartment in Korea. It was 3:25 AM. She wasn’t sleepy—her head was full of thoughts. She lifted her hands, placed them on her head, and took several deep breaths. On the screen was the email to send her demo and see if she could be selected. She let out a laugh—if she sent it, she had nothing to lose. If they didn’t call her, she’d just go on with her life and never have to mention it again. But… what if they *did* call her? She bit her lip. Even if they did, it didn’t mean anything, she thought. She would just have to show up in person before the one and only Celine from Sunlight Sisters and see if she was selected for the K-pop group she was forming.
“Screw it,” she said as she hit “send.” When the confirmation appeared, her lip finally split and she tasted blood.

Summary

Summary
One day, a mural was found of Rumi and Mira, a world renowned pop star couple whose songs constantly hit the charts. The mural itself was gorgeous, striking, made to shine with a multitude of colors, the ever iconic purple and pink hair of the two stars tangling together in waves.
Just below the mural, there it was—a turtle with a yellow bucket hat on its skateboard. It was almost comical how different the styles were. The semi realism of the mural, to the cartoonish look of the turtle, especially with the heart eyes instead of its usual beady ones.
