My take on a post Ballad fix it fic because Stephanie hurt my heart
Evangeline is lost after she woke up several weeks ago with no recollection of the most recent years of her life. All she knows is her childhood fairytale dream came true, and she has a dashing prince for a husband who seems to worship at her feet. Despite her seemingly fantastical reality, she can't stop trying to regain her memories, and can't figure out why Apollo doesn't seem to be helping her (spoiler it's because he sucks and he's a dumb stupid man who doesn't respect women's autonomy).
Meanwhile people from Evangeline's missing past keep showing up and she's beginning to suspect no one is being fully truthful with her, and no one seems to want to answer her questions about a certain enchanting, blonde haired, apple eating figure who keeps showing up in both her dreams and reality.

This takes place after the events of The Ballad of Never After (DON'T READ UNLESS YOU WANT SPOILERS - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED).
Evangeline is suffering with her loss of memories, or rather, the absence of any memories at all. After spending two weeks confused and distraught after Apollo, her husband, found her on the floor of his castle, she attends the party celebrating Prince Apollo's miraculous return from the dead and it is much harder for her to deal with than she expected. She hates the pitied looks of those she cannot remember and she hates even more that she cannot remember them. And her growing frustration with the broken heart tattoo on her wrist burning more than it has in the last two weeks isn't helping either.
