Like everywhere else, Jiang Cheng enjoyed the dawnings of Yunmeng alone. From his balcony he watched silently as the pier came alive. He drank the lotus petal tea in the gazebo while reflecting on the Sect's dealings and enjoying the singing of Mandarin ducks living in the nearby lakes. In moments like this it seemed the world itself was stretching its hands towards him, as Jiang Cheng, keeping his fears at bay, allowed these invisible hands to touch him. Secretly, he hoped that one day those hands would gain flesh.
