Summary
He glances back and sees the police car now, its red and blue lights searing into his vision. The biker clicks his tongue, twisting the handle, and they speed up until the wind rushing past his ears is as loud as the bike's engine. Shidou wraps an arm around the biker's body, catching his eye through the rearview mirror, and smirks.
"I didn't take you for a criminal, either!" he yells over the noise. "What's your name? Or your number?"
The biker's eyes narrow. "...Help us escape before you go around asking for my info."
His voice leaves no room for argument, but Shidou doesn't mind. "Challenge accepted, pretty."

He doesn’t believe in god. Not the one that his namesake led an army of angels in devotion for, and not whatever they’re worshipping here.
But maybe he believes in something. Maybe he has to, because he’d brought Yoichi Isagi into his life like a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Calling him by his name, his first name, so absorbed in his arrogance that he’d not noticed nor cared that not even his close friends called him by it.
Yoichi. The best in the world, that’s one way to put it, and he couldn’t have been blamed for not knowing, not understanding what he was speaking into existence every time he spoke it.
But also, the first.
And now, name whittled and weathered and worn down until it’s familiar against his tongue over the years he’s called it, the texture of it changed, it sounds different too. Just like his does against Isagi’s, eroded over time until the harsh edges softened, said like a gift.
Said like it’s his.’
