Love does not cure depression.
The best Kakyoin can do is try to help Jotaro through this, and it's so difficult to watch.
His best friend is slowly deteriorating every day, and no one has noticed. Jotaro's walls are up, and no one can really tell what's going on in his head. Except for Kakyoin, who acknowledges a change—he's more irritable, he's skipping school more, eating less, and he's not even coming out of his room.
And when it all comes pouring out, he's finally going to be there for Jotaro after years of Jotaro being there for him.
