Magic obviously wasn’t real, even if Taehyun’s tricks could be quite convincing at times. But now someone had given him that power, though it didn’t come for free. They wanted to take Taehyun for themselves. And his members would fight tooth and nail to keep that from happening.

Taking a step back and resting when his body demanded it didn't come easy for Taehyun, certainly not with a world tour just around the corner. He was known for being hard working, and he'd like to keep it like that, thank you very much. How much harm could a mere fever do anyway?
Or
Taehyun gets a fever, but refuses to take time off to rest. And so the members can only watch from the sidelines as it gets worse.
