GRYFFINDORS. Go up the marble staircase and left, and keep travelling in that general direction; you’ll want to be going towards your left, because Gryffindor Tower is on the easternmost side of the castle, and you’re coming from the north/north-west. Once you reach the second floor, you can take a short-cut! Concealed behind a tapestry is a narrow staircase to the upper floors...

“Marriage,” Prince Auguste bursts out and everyone stares.
“A marriage between our royal families,” he clarifies, visibly clearing his throat and his head before he continues, “To symbolize the pact between our kingdoms, for generations to come. Not foes, not friends, but family.”

This is because I was getting antsy for a happy, mushy outcome for Mycroft and Greg, and once the Doctor got involved it got a bit tangled and timey-wimey, but it resolved well in the end. Hope you like it.

I am grouping this with the story originally posted as "Beside the Long Water." I have updated the name to "Beside the Long Water: Kensington Gardens," and am now adding this new story. I do not know if I will continue to work my way through London's parks and gardens, but as I decided these two stories are part of the same approximate space-time-continuum, and because both were park-based, I thought I'd at least pair them up with each other.

This is love in late life. It's very quiet. It's more resolved at the end than either man realizes--they've crossed their Rubicon and the rest is going to fall into place very gently and dancingly. Life has just improved for these two in ways they can hardly even imagine right now. But we will leave them to their lack of clairvoyance even as we ourselves gloat knowing it all just got very rose-colored and contented. Let them realize for themselves that everything just got better.

I hope you like it. It's not loud.

In "The Raffles Relics," Raffles told Bunny that he sometimes hid from Bunny in his trunk when he was "quite unfit for human society." What if Bunny had caught him?
