Summary

Summary
Jayce opened his eyes.
He was lying face up in the grass in an open field. There was a sun shining brightly overhead. He rubbed his eyes, trying to look around. It was impossible to tell if he was in Runeterra or somewhere else entirely. He took a deep breath, and then his heart clenched as the memories came flooding back. “Viktor?” he gasped, rolling onto his side.
For a second he was full of fear and dread, but then—he saw him. Lying in the grass just a few feet away...
Viktor opened his eyes.
There he was. The sun was lighting Jayce from behind like a halo. He locked onto his honey-hazel eyes. Was he real? He took a shaky breath to see if his lungs still worked. “Jayce?”

“People? Plural? This is quite the accusation, Albus.” Scorpius drawls, an amused smile toying with the curve of his lips. There it is. Albus watches it and remembers what it feels like against his own. “Who do you think I’m leading on?”
Albus blinks up to meet Scorpius’ gaze. “I haven’t the faintest idea.”
Or: Albus and his ill-advised, alcohol-induced, intensely-yearning situationship with his best friend would be a lot more successful if they spent their time talking instead of kissing.

Jayce likes to show up unexpected at Viktor’s door with wine from the party he's supposed to be at.
Together they've figured out how to re-write the rules of reality; maybe now they can figure out what they mean to one another.

Summary
Jayce sits up, ready to greet his partner with some quip about how much the party sucked, but the words die in his throat when he realizes that Viktor is not alone. He is—very much not alone. The low light from the lamppost spills inside and across two bodies. Hushed voices and a low laugh, the under-oiled creak of the door hinge as someone taller and broader than Viktor presses him up against the closing door, leans down and kisses him on the mouth.
Oh, Jayce thinks dumbly.
Or: A plumbing issue-turned-home-renovation leaves Jayce crashing on Viktor's couch for the foreseeable future. In that time, Jayce learns some new things about his partner. And his partner's various hobbies.

One week. It only took one week apart for Albus to conclude that he cannot properly function without Scorpius Malfoy. All he has to do now is accept his feelings, move on, and the nightmares, sporadic waves of anxiety, and pestering parents will finally stop. Hopefully. No need to bother Scorpius with his thoughts, right?
