Summary
This work is a part of Whumpril 2023, prompts come from @Whumpril on Tumblr! I have never participated in an event to this scale, and I owe my ability to complete this one to the incredible prompts! I'm also not sure all of these are exactly whump, but I tried my best! Most of these jumped off the screen at me and took on a life of their own, and others were harder to accomplish. Tags will update daily as Chapters are added. Each Chapter Title is composed of the Prompts that were given for the day, and Chapter Notes will contain specific Characters in the Chapter so you know what to expect each day! I used all 3 Prompt options given for the chapter each day, and they are bolded in place in the work! Chapter length varies, I didn’t want to be too hard on myself about word count since this is my first major event and I was challenging myself. Another thing to note is that these are not interconnected, each chapter is its own story/snippet! Comments and Kudos are encouraged, I’m excited for reactions to the different stories each day! Summary
This work is really more of a writing project for me to explore characters at different points of their development and relationships with each other most notably and the main focus, their individual relationships with Wanda Maximoff. How do they interact? How do they characterize each other? How do they grow?
As always, more than anything this work is a love letter to the soft, quiet moments that make Wanda, Wanda. I don't have many other rules for it than that, and that's enough for me!

It is 2002, 18 year old Natasha Romanova is looking her graduation from the Red Room in the eyes. Fear isn't what she should be feeling. Madame has broken her of that habit. Someone has given her a reason to be afraid now.
James doesn't remember anything. Only that he's woken up, metal arm in tow and the newest member of an underground Soviet academy to train super soldiers. He's been the only successful one of the five. The only thing that really has mattered is the girl with red hair who's made him forget to breathe.
Natasha and James encounter each other many times, each time reminds them how hard it is to deny feelings they've been told to not have.
This is a Winter Widow fic. I do not claim to own these characters or know all. Fic inspired by this fan video.

“What year do you think this is?” The Soldier looked like he was ready to bolt.
Natalia’s mouth was dry despite the water she’d drunk so recently. This was bad. Very bad. “I don’t know.” It came out as a whisper. Her body buzzed as if it was filled with static. As if she was a snow globe that someone had shaken so hard that the falling snow had turned into a blizzard, making it impossible to see the object within.
“Fuck.” He said for the second time. Apparently noticing her reaction, he stepped closer, grasping the railing of her bed with both hands. “You’re safe. This isn’t the Red Room, no one’s gonna punish you or anything for a wrong answer, but Christ, Romanoff…” He trailed off.*************
Natasha loses her memories during a fight and while everyone around her wants to help her recover them, she only trusts one person: Bucky Barnes, the former Winter Soldier.
