  Summary

  Max Evans is dead. The rest of them are left to pick up the pieces. But there are dangerous forces lurking in Roswell, and no one is safe.

  Or, as a personal, if slightly spiteful, challenge I wanted to see if I could tell a better, more coherent version of season 2. I gave myself the restriction of thirteen chapters and crammed as much plot into it as I could manage, to make things fair. Completely plotted in one damn night! Very Malex, because I literally can't help myself.

  Note: This fic is not abandoned! I've been very busy (went back to school, yay college) and haven't even gotten around to watching season 3. I still appreciate all the kudos and comments left here, and I will continue this fic when I can. ❤️
