“You’re saying,” Eddie murmurs, leaning in close till their noses brush and Eddie can count the striations of different blues in Buck’s eyes. “That you want to stud me, and for me to bitch you?” Eddie hears Buck gulp, a gargled little gguh sounds coming out of his mouth. It takes a moment, but Buck nods.
“Y-eah,” Buck whispers, sounding completely unconvincing. “Yeah, yeah, I do.”

Summary
After the events in DC Bucky shows up at Steve’s door. All Steve wants to do is hide him away from the world so when Natasha offers the use of one of her safehouses Steve takes her up on it. Now the two of them are together, and on their own, nothing but two ghosts haunting a cabin in the woods desperately trying to get back to each other.

Bucky's dog tags were folded in the crease of the paper he'd torn from his journal, reading: "Steve, here. You have them, if you want them. You have me, if you want me. I’ve never tried loving a man before but for you I’ve run headfirst into wars and Death’s wide, gaping jaws, so this is easy in comparison. This is like breathing."
It was so dark when Bucky handed him the note, the fire just burning out, and he glanced back only once to see Steve watching him as he walked away.
