George’s eyes flicked up to meet his. For a heartbeat, the space between them seemed to narrow and collapse. And George looked flustered, yes, and a bit shy, but beneath the awkwardness, Dream caught it: the hitch of his breath. The spark in his eyes. The quick, unguarded flash of wanting.
And when George spoke, Dream knew the feeling wasn’t his alone.
