"Why are you here?" Baku asks coolly.
“To have one last conversation with you,” Baekjin says with a serene smile.
"Why, are you dying tomorrow?" Baku bites his tongue and sneers. "Why last conversation?" He grits through his teeth.
“Because you’re going to defeat me tomorrow,” Baekjin says. His voice softens. His eyes shift. They become a little sad. A defeated look before an actual defeat.
"Tomorrow, you’ll fight me, defeat me. And then…” He sucks in a breath, exhales like it pains him. “You’ll leave me.” He says quietly.
Or the one where Baekjin had a premonition of the fight and the consequences of defeat a day before the brawl happened. And he decided he needs to do something about it.

Summary
"I can't go on like this, anymore, Satoru."
His voice doesn't crack and neither does his expression, but to Satoru, it sounds broken and tired all the same; It sounds like it was heavy to force the words out, his eyes clouded by a haze that could only be bloodthirsty; It sounds like it's taking effort to keep himself steady, rational. Satoru wonders for how long has Suguru felt this way. The anger in his chest lets up for something more like grief.
"I know," He says, suddenly softer. "So just trust me, for tonight, at least. Let me think of something. Something smarter than burning down a village in the middle of nowhere."

Summary
The moment Satoru walks through his front door, grinning from ear to ear but tasting like mint drop panic, Suguru knows something is very wrong. When he’s closely followed by a teenage boy with spiky hair and Fushiguro Toji’s eyes, the sense of impending doom is only reinforced. A large, black and white dog—a husky?—slinks in after them.
“I thought we agreed you wouldn’t invade my home again, Satoru,” Suguru says weakly, closing the door. “What happened?”
“Missing person case,” Satoru says, just on the edge of manic. “It’s uh, personal. Megumi’s sister.”
He rests a hand on the kid’s shoulder, only to get shrugged off immediately.
When Satoru comes to him for help, Suguru once again bends rules and crosses boundaries he himself established. It’s inevitable.

---Suguru’s stomach sank with realization. He did want to spoil Satoru, to baby him. He’d been doing it all this time. He just hadn’t noticed because he was pampering another alpha. It was practically courting behavior.
It wasn’t appropriate. Satoru probably didn’t like alphas like that - hell, Suguru didn’t even know that he himself was capable of liking alphas like that, but clearly he was. On top of that, they were friends, best friends, but the thought of someone taking his place made him feel ill.
Suguru was so fucked. ---When Suguru met Satoru, he thought the other alpha was just a typical alpha manwhore, but he was quickly proven wrong. Satoru was bratty and rude, and he gave no consideration other people's feelings. He was also clingy and affectionate, and he smelled so good, and were alpha supposed to feel this way about each other?
