Summary
In the aftermath of the discovery of a betrayal, IV is set loose in a world he doesn't know how to navigate. By chance - or maybe divine intervention, which seems increasingly likely- he runs into an old friend who jumps in to offer his support and friendship when he needs it most.
Healing is a journey like syrup down a stack of pancakes - non-linear, sticky and at times slow. But with the help of three lovely people IV thinks he can make the best of it and maybe find something better than he's ever had before.

Summary
Remus' face goes white with fury. “Sirius was framed! He would never–”.
“But he did! Even now, to keep defending him, is absurd! How do you explain what happened?”.
“I don't know! I don't know what he did, I don't, but he got himself locked up for the rest of his fucking life and I've nobody, Severus, nowhere to go and their child in my arms, so tell me what I should do!”.
Or: After the Potters die, Remus comes knocking on Severus' door for help. (Featuring: depressed Snape recovering from some destructive coping mechanisms, Remus going through life as a divorced unemployed dad and Harry being the sweetest baby in the whole Magical Britain.)

Summary
Hey, mate. We never heard back from you about the upcoming NA tour. Did you and your lawyer get a chance to look everything over?
III sighs, forcing himself to sit upright in spite of the ache in his back and the dizziness that threatens to turn into nausea the longer that he goes without water. Dehydration was always a pain in the ass, but after three straight nights of partying, his body is practically begging for relief. He eyes the text once again, re-reading it over and over until the full weight of the words sink in. Every text he ever receives from Vessel feels like a tether around his chest, and he can’t decide whether to pull free or suffocate quietly in compliance with his wishes.
It reels him in closer to a self-image that he doesn’t want to recognize.
The point is, III doesn’t want to go.
