When they were both in the knights, even the sight of Kaeya fully clothed would drive Diluc mad, now he was walking around with half his tits out and the winery owner wouldn’t even spare him a second look.
Sometimes Kaeya wishes Diluc would be attracted to him again. Even if it’s not love, even if it’s just physical lust, but Kaeya knows he’s asking for too much. Hatred is still better than indifference and he knows that he doesn’t deserve Diluc’s forgiveness after lying to him for so many years.

Kaeya would admit that he’s a little vain, he likes it when people look at him, especially when they look like they want to devour him. It’s a confidence boost, and he’s a greedy guy.
Diluc can't stand when other people look at Kaeya with duplicitous intentions, none of them deserved to lay eyes on his brother, let alone touch him. Maybe he'll do something about it.

There are certain things from childhood that are impossible to forget. For many it’s a specific smell, like their grandmother’s home or their father’s cologne. For some it’s the comfort of a soft blanket that’s been with them since birth, maybe a stuffed toy that has been so thoroughly loved it is coming apart at the seams from enduring so much. For Diluc, childhood was a head of messy blue hair that was always beside him, picking berries under the summer sun and spilling out under a winter hat powdered with snow. He knew that shade of blue better than any color in the world.
Despite his better judgment, he spoke.

Diluc has always been the romantic one, between the two of them. Being in love suits him well, as if he is made for it—to love and be loved in return, to live a life full of it. And Kaeya has loved him, too, fully, fiercely—enough to sink to his knees and bear the pain inflicted on him by cruel strangers if it means keeping Diluc safely away from that darkness, enough to tell him all of his truths and pay its price.
