After her failure to rescue Himemiya Anthy, Tenjou Utena finds herself alone outside Akio's illusion, surviving by her own devices in a world that remembers none of what she's been through. Ohtori Academy is gone, or it never existed, and Anthy is still trapped there, and Utena cannot save her. Somehow, Utena has to live anyway.
