Summary
Daisies are common for childhood crushes. Especially white ones, for purity and innocence. They’re not too dangerous, all things considered. They’re small, even at full bloom, and edible. Puppy love is fleeting, so the flowers tend to wither harmlessly soon enough. There’s a field on my way to work that in spring was speckled with them. I stopped to think of her and was nearly late. I wonder if the person who’ll love her for more than an afternoon will ever give her daisy feelings.
