Kaguya blinked in confusion, feeling Iroha behind her back, her arms wrapped around her waist. She couldn't help but let out a small smile, her hand holding Iroha’s arms, patting it gently. “You know Iroha, you could have asked that you wanted to hug me this badly-”
“Shut up.” Iroha cuts her words, hiding the way she's blushing, her eyes a little watery, afraid that Kaguya might disappear at any moment, afraid that another person will leave her all alone again.
She doesn't want Kaguya to leave, not this early, Iroha started to question herself how she managed to survive and go through her life before meeting Kaguya, and now she's also asking herself how she will manage to keep on surviving once Kaguya is gone. Iroha won't let it happen, she won't, that won't be the ending that the tale intended. Iroha promised to Kaguya that both of them will make a happy ending together.

Summary
A week has passed since the flood, Furina was alone the whole time, except for a few insincere visits that came to say sorry and then there was Clorinde, the only one that she let in to her new home. Well, there was the one she has been avoiding all this time, the one that has been coming each day to look for her, and the only one she has never even talked to.
Aether has been trying non-stop to reach her, the weight of everything is finally getting to him, the guilt for putting Furina through all the turmoil was just adding more to his plate. He will keep trying, maybe she will open one day. He really wants to help her and see her happy side again, even if it was just an act. Being sad really didn't suit Furina in his eyes.
