Summary
“Your brother threw a tea cup at my head!” Wei Wuxian let the full weight of his indignation show through. He’d barely dodged the cup since he hadn’t expected the normally calm (even if sometimes he was pretending) Lan Xichen. It’s not like the tea cup would have hurt him but the only way he could have been more shocked would have been if Sizhui had thrown a cup at him.
Now if it had been Jingyi or Jiang Cheng he wouldn’t have been surprised at all.
Lan Zhan raised his brow slightly and shook his head. “I don’t believe he appreciated your question.” Despite the cooly serene expression Wei Wuxian could tell his husband was highly amused.

Wei Wuxian hadn’t been back to Lotus Pier since…well since a lot of things…
Even though there was this tentative peace between himself and Jiang Cheng neither one of them was good at reaching out to try to fix things so both sides had somehow managed to avoid anything other than the most business-like of meetings if they happened to cross paths.
That might be why on the way to Lotus Pier for a meeting and he saw the tiny, overgrown path full of brambles and the merest hint of a worn path in the grass heading into the vegetation, Wei Wuxian paused and looked at it thoughtfully.
Or - in order to distract himself and be late for a meeting Wei Wuxian goes off the beaten path and finds mystery.

After getting married to Lan Zhan and going to live in Gusu to both help and horrify the Lan Clan on a regular basis (to be fair mostly it was Lan Qiren who was horrified) things had eventually settled into something of a routine of going on night hunts, training the Juniors (and by extension Jin Ling and Ouyang Zizhen since the four of them had apparently formed their own little hunting clan) and blatantly breaking all the rules of Gusu he could get away with.
He should have known better. It was always the times in his life where everything seemed settled and at peace that the universe took it upon itself to punch him in the guts. Why should now be any exception?

He’d learned less than twenty minutes into the first class they had attended together that there was nothing Wuxian wanted from him other than to get someone to distract him from his studies. For some reason he’d made it his goal in life to try to get Wangji to join him in his antics from day one.

“Are you sure we should do this?” Carolina tasted gold on the back of her tongue when Eta spoke in her head. It tasted like cold sunshine that cast no shadows and gave no warmth. She was better at tuning her AI out than she had been in the beginning but she’d also found that if she ignored Eta and Iota that their feelings started to leak through more than they already did. As it was her stomach was in knots and Carolina was clenching her teeth so they wouldn’t chatter as the fear from Eta leaked through.
Despite all that Carolina’s hands were steady as she wired the charges to the door she needed to get through. Intel and supplies were on the other side of the door and they were too important to leave without. “What have I told you about distracting me?”

There was no beta so all mistakes are all me. I also hope it doesn't seem angsty, I was going for recovery and not angst.
