Summary
“Your brother threw a tea cup at my head!” Wei Wuxian let the full weight of his indignation show through. He’d barely dodged the cup since he hadn’t expected the normally calm (even if sometimes he was pretending) Lan Xichen. It’s not like the tea cup would have hurt him but the only way he could have been more shocked would have been if Sizhui had thrown a cup at him.
Now if it had been Jingyi or Jiang Cheng he wouldn’t have been surprised at all.
Lan Zhan raised his brow slightly and shook his head. “I don’t believe he appreciated your question.” Despite the cooly serene expression Wei Wuxian could tell his husband was highly amused.

Zhao Yunlan thought of himself as a capable detective. He knew they had a shared past that Shen Wei wasn’t telling him, one that for some reason, he couldn’t remember. It made Zhao Yunlan nervous. Shen Wei cared about him too much, gave him too much, sometimes looked at him like he was a revered god instead of the twenty-eight-year-old mess of a man that he was, with his ratty shirts and pockets full of candy wrappers. It made him wonder what he was supposed to — and likely failing to — live up to.
