Summary
Remus knows nothing of Sirius Orion Black except that he’s one of the most feared and ruthless Death Eaters working for the Dark Lord. He doesn’t need or want to know more, all he needs are informations and everything points out to Black being a good bet.
But there’s more to that story than what Dumbledore told him. How is Remus suppose to just sit back and watch someone who’s done nothing wrong get hurt?
Sirius doesn’t care about who Remus John Lupin might be, he simply knows that Greyback wants him and he’s his new target. Whatever pity he might feel for a guy who’s so precious to this horrid sociopath is unimportant. His only priority is Regulus.
But Sirius knows how badly obsession can harm you, and it’s so obvious that Fenrir is just mad that one of his toys had the backbone, the nerve, to fight back. How is he suppose to live after throwing such a kind and beautiful soul into Hell?

Summary
It’s starts with letters that were never sent.
It’s the middle of a war and Lily is pregnant. They just found out about it and James is a sweetheart. So, of course, they have to receive the worst news they ever had.
It’s Sirius’ birthday and he never had good birthdays. Usually, it ends with some catastrophe or the other. It’s only fitting that this one starts with trouble instead.
Remus is falling apart and he’s made a lot of stupid choices recently, but he wants to make things right so he’s celebrating what little they have to with the love of his life, werewolves packs be damned.
It ends with revelations that changes the course of history itself.
Or maybe, all is as it must be for once. -

Yes, it was certainly cliche to say such a thing, but the Sirius Black that came back from Winter Break wasn’t the same that bid them goodbye on the platform.
Peter was sure of it.James would have been more embarrassed at being outdone at friendship by his crush if he wasn’t so grateful. Although he really didn’t understand that therapy thing Lily kept talking about. But if that’s the only way she’ll talk to him, he’ll take it.
Remus is terrified. Terrified of the way Sirius is acting. This is not his boyfriend and if he doesn't get his shit together or admit there’s something weird going on, well, you can’t save someone from drowning if it means you’ll drown yourself.
Regulus didn’t know what to do about his brother and his insufferable friends. What was the point of giving clues if they didn’t catch them?
At least, Evans was tolerable and intelligent, McKinnon was dating Dorcas so that gave her a pass and he couldn’t imagine anyone disliking sweet, headstrong Mary MacDonald. But the next time someone woke him up to ask how he sneaked in their common room, he would burn it down. -

One of the best Handmaid’s Tale what if/time travel fix it I’ve ever read, if not the best. Absolutely love it, it really showcases the complexity of Serena’s character. Too bad the writers couldn’t decide which feet to make her stand on last season, even though she passed the entire series putting children first, whether hers or others.

Set in the year 1985, everything before this is basically canon except Sirius went to Durmstrang, and everyone is still alive. However, because Halloween 1981 never happened, the war is still raging at its peak.
