"I can't give you an answer, joon," Seokjin whispers into his ear. Namjoon only nods, he didn't even expect to get any sort of physical touch from him let alone the chance to talk. He'll take anything he can get. The nickname also makes him feel fuzzy.
"I don't know if I'll ever be able to give you one," Seokjin pulls back. Again, Namjoon only nods because that's all he can do.

Summary

a/n: i had published this work before under the pseud 'namjinpoison'; it was an ongoing series, and i stopped at chapter 19 before i impulsively deleted the entire work from this site. i have since decided /not/ to let 60k+ words go to waste, and i am now continuing the story!

Summary
Merman prince Namjoon, the only heir to the mer-kingdom has the power of the sea stolen from him by the very powerful sea witch Yoongi. In an attempt to save his power, he transfers it to a human before the last of it is stolen. Kim Seokjin is an insecure college student who finds comfort from the ocean, his life is turned upside down when he finds a merman, a creature that shouldn't exist. While Namjoon transferred his power, he unintentionally bound his and Seokjin’s souls together. Now the two are stuck together as they try to save both the sea and the land, things getting more complicated as Seokjin slowly goes through an unnatural transformation into a merman.
