“Do you want me here?”
The first time Shouto asked it, he wasn’t looking at Katsuki. His eyes were glued to the map of the mission on the table between them, his golden wire frame glasses perched low on his nose. He knows his quirk isn’t as suited for the job as some, and despite the fact that they’re generally mission partners, he wants to give Katsuki the option.
Katsuki is quiet for a moment; Shouto glances up at him. The look he spots on Katsuki’s face is a mix of a grimace and a lopsided frown. Shouto had seen the look before, but no place that he could connect back to this. No place that gave him the context to explain the pained look.
---Times Shouto Todoroki asked Katsuki Bakugou if he should stick around. Times he didnt have to.

“I have a lot more than luck,” the guy leans in, and Hajime briefly considers the ideal possibility that the music had drowned out the first of his words when the idiot deigns to continue, “And I’m sure I could show you a better time. He doesn’t have to know.” Hajime feels angry ice crackle in his chest at the mere concept the fuckface is trying to sell.
“Very, very unlikely. Bold fucking assumption, really.” His lip rolls up on one side, and his eyebrows further furrow. The guy is leaning in, for some reason, and he’s about to get in a fucking fight when there’s a hand on his shoulder, and a familiar weight against his side.
“I’m sorry,” Tooru’s cheery voice begins, “He’s not interested. Why would he be, really? Look at you.”

So he knows when Tooru is upset, and since they're only at the club for Tooru anyway, he's more than willing to head home and go to bed.

Envy split his guts like the talons of the bird he’d love to strip bare of feathers. He stared, scornfully, hatefully, at the light filtering through from the bar. Like shadow puppets, he saw the air conditioning blow the idiot bird’s feathers, watched a spiky-haired head throw itself back in laughter. Disgusting.
