    She huffed, getting a bit annoyed with not being graced with the permission to get up. She knew she could get Megumi off if she really tried to. She could twist his fingers, bite him or elbow his ribs. But this was not a real fight, and she didn't actually want to hurt him. He would get off if she asked seriously. But at this point, her pride was kind of depending on if she managed to free herself, so she kept trying to push him off with increasing strength.

    Only to end up with both of her wrists in Megumi's grasp, pinned on either side of her head, with the boy himself almost completely on top of her. She tested Megumi's hold and found that… she couldn't move at all.

    She twisted her hands, hoping to slip out of Megumi's hold, but he did not let her. And no matter how much she kicked, each time she managed to free her leg, it was quickly pressed down again.

    Nobara was completely overpowered.

     

    OR: during a play fight with Megumi, Nobara gets pinned down and can't push Megumi off. The difference in their strength makes her a bit bitter.

    “Then he said that I shouldn’t worry about teaching him any haircare, because the Itadoris would end with him. He wasn't saying it to be mean. I don’t think he even meant to bring it up.”

    Megumi doesn’t ask ‘Did you mean to bring this up?’ even though he should, just to figure out what ‘this’ represents. None of the potential antecedents are appealing. Itadori’s execution? His dead grandfather? His blasé acceptance of dying? Itadori himself, currently dead? His natural pink hair?

    “Hmm,” he says. Kugisaki snorts and leans backwards, tipping the two front chair legs up until her knees tap the bottom of the desk.

    What else are you supposed to do during study period besides gossip about your dead classmate? Admit that death sucks? Admit that this all sucks? Megumi doesn't have anything good to say, so he won't.

    Kugisaki disagrees.
