Summary
In the aftermath of that terrible day, Grog and Percy are left to deal with their own pain and emotions as they wait for Vax to wait up.
They wait, wait, and wait, until summer makes way for autumn.
Percy takes care of Vax, and Grog takes care of Percy, until Percy can no longer take care of himself or Vax. So Grog does, he becomes the momma, and he takes care of his boys.
Then. Vax wakes up, but it's not okay. Vax is not okay, he's in pain. He can still feel the pain in the wings he no longer has, and he hides it from everybody but Grog. He reveals a truth about what he had been through while they all thought he was asleep to Grog, and Grog breaks.
But maybe, the truth offers solutions to Vax's problem?
