Summary
Shota Aizawa initially can't stand his loud-ass classmate, Hizashi Yamada. He knows this has more to do with himself than anyone else. But Yamada is persistent in getting to know him, even if it means quieting down and meeting the other boy where he's at. One day Yamada randomly gifts Shota a surprisingly detailed drawing of him and the two grow closer together through mutual fascination and a desire to learn more about each other, as well as themselves in the process.

Hizashi Yamada is an amplified human being, demonstrated by his animated hand gestures and legible facial expressions. His happiness is palpable to everyone that surrounds him and he’s expertly managed to integrate this into his Present Mic persona. Unfortunately for him, he is still a human being. A human being with an arsenal of equally palpable emotions that he does his best to keep under control and out of the public eye.
Shota Aizawa has been a part of his life for five years and knows better than anyone how amplified Hizashi can be, as well as how to respond to it. The two finally have the night off together and Shota discovers a side to his friend that he’s never seen before.

In all honesty, Aizawa wasn't sure what it was that Hizashi was doing. It had simply started one night and never stopped. It felt intentional and somehow important, but it confused Aizawa too. It wasn't just a normal touch, he didn't feel Hizashi's whole hand, just parts of it as it moved against his back. Mostly his fingers moving to create different shapes. Not tracing the shapes, just pressing them into his spine.
Aizawa had never asked what it was about and Hizashi never offered an explanation. Aizawa found it comforting though.
XXXXXOR Hizashi is in love but he can't bring himself to say it, so he gets the message across in another way.

Summary
In the end, it's Yamada's painfully obvious and just as grating attempts to spare Shouta some mild embarrassment that makes Shouta abandon all sense of logic and agree to just play the stupid game. There are worse fates to endure than being patronized, Shouta's sure, but if there are, he's having trouble imagining them in the face of Yamada freestyle rapping for fifteen straight minutes to a chorus of increasingly heartfelt boos from the other two idiots.
And so Shouta finds himself watching Yamada and Kayama suck face for the third time this evening. That's certainly a worse fate, Shouta decides, all the more so because he should have seen it coming.
They're playing spin the bottle, after all.
