The smell started staining the hallway in ways that was irreparable to his mind—he couldn’t forget the smell of dead bodies if he wanted to.
With his NODs over his eyes, he stared into the room with the first body in sight by the doorway.
There couldn’t have been less than eight bodies littered around the room.
What was once a meeting room had quickly become a graveyard of unrested souls, and unburied bodies.
Johnny followed the torrential collection of bodies into the next room, each with their own death sentence—strangled, headshot, knife wound, missing trachea, blunt force trauma—all leading to the next room.
”Ghost!” Johnny uttered, stepping over the bodies to his unconscious Lieutenant.

“What do you need?” Ghost asked.
“Just your scent,” Soap said.
That hurt some, the knowledge that Soap only wanted him for this. But if this was the extent of Soap’s need for him, Ghost wouldn’t argue. Would sit there and behave as Soap fucked himself on his knotting toys, would let him break the heat like that.
Because Soap could have gone to any alpha on base. Could have flashed that pretty scent and had any one of them lining up to help.
But he hadn’t.
