Summary
Guardians are sustained by Belief. The more Belief they have, the more power, the less they strictly need petty mortal things like food and rest. Jack, lacking the solid Belief bases of the rest of them, has to sleep regularly. Inconvenient, for a seasonal spirit used to going months at a time without rest, but the fastest way to regain the memories from his baby teeth is by dreaming through them, so that's alright.
Until, of course, it isn't.

A fic for the ROTG 2021 Secret Santa prompt:
[No Ship] Coffee Shop AU - any characters but maybe Jack just joined as a new waiter part-time to help save money for college. A lot of plants in the interior but also some cool lamps and a lot of gold color (like a mix of all the big four lairs in the design)(I know this seemed more like it was supposed to be art, but I thought I'd have far more fun with this if it were a fic!)

Unfortunate circumstances have led Jackson Overland into a tough situation. Taking a year off of college to support his family, he takes up a full-time job at the new Guardian Coffee Co. downtown. Needless to say, he was not prepared for Burgess's influx of wacky customers.
But at the end of the day, he couldn't think of anywhere he'd rather be. -
