Summary
Darryl, bored of doing lame schoolwork all day, is excited when he finally gets to the weekend and is able to hang out with his friend Cap. But his normal life is interrupted when talk of a strange disease that's apparently being transmitted by some invasive slug species.

An old story I wrote for ELA in 7th grade. My teacher wanted us to write about some kind of disaster (real or fake), whether it be a natural disaster, warfare, or some kind of disease. The second she said we could use preexisting characters the idea to write a Schooled story popped into my head.
The slug disease is inspired lightly both by leopard slugs, as they can transmit a parasitic disease called rat lungworm, as well as the swine flu epidemic, which was what the story was original going to be about since it was only 2 years after the time setting of the og book.
(Notes: This is my first work, so idk if any of this is supposed to be in this box. Also apologies for the really bad summary).
