This is it: the best fanfic you will ever read. Engaging plot, complex characterizations, masterful prose; you will laugh, cry, yell at the screen, squeal like a teenage girl, have your heart broken then put back together again... and likely all in the same chapter. Oh, and did I mention that it's sexy as hell? Yeah, that too.
Seriously, my only complaint is that there isn't more available to read (well, and maybe that one scene where poor Gaara gets blue-balled by his adopted son -- the kids could have waited 30 more seconds, Lee!). This is the story that dragged me back into the world of fanfiction, for better or worse, and even after almost a decade (read it on a different site the first time around, but I won't age myself by saying which one, haha) this was still as good as I remembered it being. Thank you, Maldoror, for bringing this idea to life and letting me tag along for the ride so that I could live in these characters' lives for a little while longer -- it was truly an unforgettable experience!

That one Heero/Wufei fic... yes, THAT one. Truly excellent plot, writing style, and characterizations, somehow slow burn despite them getting down and dirty (ha!) in the first chapter, and plenty of hurt/comfort (emphasis on the HURT -- but honestly with these boys, it's to be expected). Absolutely worth reading through to the end... again. For the fourth time. Basically, this IS the fic you've been looking for!!
