A jagged bunch of chaotic pieces that together begin to tell the story of Trowa Barton and Annuka Weaver, their time together in the family circus, and what happens when old members of White Fang rear their ugly heads. I work on this one frequently, so some of it is very complete and some of it is missing big junks that I'm still filling in; keep checking back because this'll get updated at a decent rate. I'll mark the spots that aren't complete as such so you know which ones I'm working on. I just needed to get this one up because I really backed myself into a spot and kinda need eyes. Also - I'm extrapolating what I know about animal husbandry and trying to put it into circus life - I'd love to have feedback on just how WRONG I am. And some of this is wrong because I started working on it before I rewatched the end of the series, so there are continuity errors. I'm aware of them, and I've still got to fix them. Sorry not sorry.

“Don’t do it.” Wufei comes to join him at the bar. “It’s not worth it.” This, even as he sets down that glass of golden liquid onto the counter top. Quatre thinks there’s something to be said about walking the talk, or how actions speak louder than words.
He smiles. There’s also something to be said about how even a man of principle like Wufei isn’t immune to these things, but he doesn’t say it. Wufei is a friend, after all, and he wouldn’t want to embarrass him in the party tonight. Besides, he knows why he’s doing this.

"How many have we lost this time?" Heero asks as Wufei stands in the doorway.
That Wufei hesitates before telling him isn't a good sign, but before Heero has to ask him again, he says, "Thirty-five dead. Another twenty are seriously wounded. At least seven are not expected to make it through the night."
Heero had sent a hundred soldiers after the Eltoo menace that is known only as Shinigami, and this was the result. "How large was his force?" he demands, clenching his hands.
Wufei's posture somehow becomes even more correct. "Reports say it was just him."
"Gather my generals," Heero tells him. "If I have to send a thousand to capture him, I will. And I do mean capture, Wufei. I want him alive."
Bowing, Wufei says, "Of course, Your Majesty."
Heero is going to make that barbarian regret ever raising a hand against Heero's troops.
When the captured Shinigami is revealed to be an omega, all of Heero's plans change.
