Summary
Porsche is a successful author turned CEO of a publishing company. A chronically single omega with an aversion to love and finding a mate, he is content with making his life all about his work.
The rigid routine of his life changes on his 33rd birthday, when Porsche receives an email that leads him to Kinn Theerapanyakun, a suave Elite alpha who is set to take on the role of CEO in a billion-dollar media company. Flirtatious and overly-friendly, Kinn is everything that Porsche dislikes. Or so he tells himself.
In a twist of events, Porsche finds himself doing the one thing he swore he never would: he gets married. To Kinn, no less.
As time passes in their strictly professional, mutually beneficial arrangement, Kinn coaxes Porsche out of his shell. The heart Porsche has kept locked away begins to stir with feelings that he’s never had before.
But Porsche is not going to let that get the better of him. He does not want to fall in love; it’s not worth the potential heartbreak.
Their marriage began with anything but love. Porsche is determined to make sure it ends that way too .

In another universe, we meet as normal strangers. We have awkward interactions; stuttered sentences that turn into long conversations about our dreams, our fears. Shy initial glances that turn into a prolonged gaze neither of us can break.
Porsche cuts him off without a care. Customer service can go to hell. “Now what would you like to order? You’re holding up the line.”
Kinn’s mouth closes in confusion. It is barely after dawn and he is the first one to step inside the shop. “What line?”
“The line of my early morning peaceful thoughts which I only got with tremendous effort in meditation.” Porsche smiles sweetly.
Kinn sputters. This insolent brat!

Summary
Kinn returns after a long overseas trip and isn't all over Porsche the minute he is back. Porsche, with his sexual frustration at its peak, decides to instigate Kinn instead of having a normal conversation.
“Fucking brat,” Kinn sneers. “You need a reminder of exactly who you belong to?”
Porsche swallows hard. Something about the way Kinn is looking at him tells him that he is on the edge too, on the verge of tipping over. He decides to give Kinn the final nudge to send him falling. Knowing he is about to get what he wants, he licks his lips, drawing Kinn’s attention to them. “Maybe I do,” he says. “If you even know how to fuck me good enough for that happen. I'm starting to think you’ve forgotten the concept,” he taunts.
For a beat, nothing happens as Kinn just stares, as if in disbelief that Porsche said that.

"You don't mean that." Surely, Porsche can see past the facade? Surely, there is enough love between them that Porsche can take one look at him and see for himself what the truth is?
Porsche does not say anything. The silence from him makes a crack form in his heart. It feels like fragile glass. “You don’t mean that,” he repeats. There is a desperate undertone in his voice.

It’s weeks after he got shot and Kinn is dying to take Porsche. Kinn tries to make that happen by provoking Porsche.
Porsche licks along the pulsing vein at the side of Kinn’s neck. He grips Kinn’s jaw between his thumb and fingers. “I will have you tonight. I had all these plans but it‘s fine.”
Porsche drops his leg from Kinn’s hip and puts his palms on his chest. He revels in the fast thudding beneath his touch.
He makes sure Kinn’s dark eyes are focused on him when he speaks lowly into the space between their mouths, “When I’m done and there’s nothing of you left, remember you brought this on yourself.”

Kinn goes to a meeting and comes back injured. He learns Porsche is not exactly overjoyed about that.
Kinn digs his fingers into his thighs so hard, he knows he’ll see the imprints on his skin later despite the layer of clothing.
“Do you think you deserve to be inside me?” Porsche demands.
