    You just really don't want to be eaten and wish they would stop taunting you.

    You are eight when you meet the strange, tiny fish twins in a secluded cave, saving them from suffocation, starvation, and then seagulls. Eventually, you release them back to the ocean and you never expect to hear from them again.

    Then you see them when you are 17, on a school field trip to a beachside carnival-slash-aquarium, and they are about your size, and they are unhappy. The tank they shared was clearly not large enough, and it reminds you of the time you first found them. You leave the carnival with a sick feeling in your stomach.

    And when you graduate university with a marine biology degree, the only place you apply to work is the Fazbear Aquarium, which has doubled in size since your last visit. They accept you as their employee solely because of your father's work in marine life research, and for once you thank your absent father for being a workaholic with a good reputation.

    Then you see them. And they are much larger than you could have expected. Suddenly your plan to execute a fish heist becomes a little more difficult.

    Sun and Moon meet you as young mers and you all become lifelong friends, even when as you grow life keeps you from visiting as often as you like. You don't meet Eclipse for a long while, though he's a great Big brother to Sun and Moon and, of course, a menace to you and society (where do you think the boys learnt it?). You wish to know more about your aquatic friends and spend as much time with them as possible, they're probably the reason you found your passion for all things related to the deep sea.

    All of these will be connected in the same AU unless said otherwise in the beginning A/N (there's only a couple that aren't AU canon though).     After spending your entire life in the ocean, you unexpectedly get captured by humans and brought into some sort of... aquarium? You want nothing to do with the place, but alas, your attempts at escape have been consistently foiled. It doesn't help that the only other two mers in this strange place, Sun and Moon, seem to have no qualms about being confined to their tanks and doing tricks for the humans.

    In fact... they don't seem to want to leave at all, much to your dismay.
