Edgar stiffened. He shook his head and hands back and forth quickly as he yelped, “I could never impose on you like that, Ranpo-kun! I know you’re far too busy solving cases, not to mention it’ll require traveling back to America with me so–”
“You don’t know if I’m too busy until you ask me.” Ranpo cut him off.
Edgar blinked at him. He watched Ranpo’s bottom lip poke out ever so slightly in a pout. So. Stinking. Adorable. It kind of felt like he was dreaming. If that was the case he’d prefer not to wake up.
Ranpo put his hands on his hips and tapped his foot. His tone was laced with his impatience when he asked, “Well?”
“Ah. Um. Would you… that is to say… maybe be interested… in uhh…” Edgar’s words trailed off and he cleared his throat. This kind of thing was more difficult than any case he’d worked on, harsher than a bout of writer’s block before a strict deadline.
Ranpo cupped a hand over his ear and shouted, “Speak up, Poe-kun!”
“Dating me!” Edgar gasped. He quickly added, “I mean! Pretending to! B-briefly!”

Summary
Despite the violent approach, Poe can’t really complain as he melts into Ranpo’s warm touch. “It is winter after all , Ranpo.” The more time he spends here, the closer they seem to stand. Poe shuffles his feet in the fleeting snow.
He doesn’t seem to like that answer. There’s a wrinkle right in between Ranpo’s eyes. “You shouldn’t be cold anymore, Poe,” Ranpo frowns.
---Poe isn't a huge fan of the cold, but Ranpo seems to have a solution for that.

Summary
Poe groans at this, the friction playing with psyche. Before he allows this to escalate he grabs ahold of Ranpo's chin both firmly yet gently. It's like puzzle pieces, the way Ranpo's Jaw fits so perfectly into Poe's hands. The way he melts into his hold. With his thumb, he wipes the white, sticky sweet residue off the sides of his lips.
“You really are a messy eater.. “ It comes out as a mumble. His thumb now playing with his bottom lip at the same time in an attempt to clean his dirty mouth. Poe takes a lick from the ice cream once again, soon after he begins to slowly bring it near Ranpo's mouth.
It touches his lips.
“Eat”
