Dale slowly lowers his tablet at that, staring at nothing as his expression twists further, piecing Dev’s comment together.
He turns his gaze towards Dev with narrowed eyes, frowning fiercely.“Development Dimmadome,” He fumes in a quiet voice. “Did you. Scribble over my research?”
(Dev hates when his dad calls him that. He hates it, how it makes him sound less like his kid and more of a project.)

Wilbur was never very good at new foster homes. It was awkward and uncomfortable and overall terrible. It's just entering a complete stranger's home and pretending it's your home. He hates nothing in this world more than that.
It was worse when he started going to them alone.
Now, Wilbur was walking into a new foster home, and he was more freaked out than normal. These people had called asking specifically for him. For Wilbur Soot. All he knew about the house was that the foster dad's name was Phil Craft and Wilbur had no idea who this man was.

Both Wilbur and Tommy snapped their gaze to it, with Tommy reaching out toward a weapon and Wilbur tensing at the sound. Wilbur hadn’t asked anyone over today. There was no telling who was on the other side. “Did you call anyone over?” Wilbur asked quietly.
“No,” Tommy whispered, hunching over himself and drawing the sword out a bit further. “No, I didn’t.”

The four amigos (also known as two Wilbur's and two Tommy's) come together and are like 'what the fuck happened' and they basically just share each other's stories I guess
This makes almost no sense if you didn't read the other stories. If you're fine with that though, you can just say 'fuck it' and read it anyways. It's two Wilbur's and two Tommy's talking to each other about their respective worlds (where one pair is definitely most obviously fucked up and not so great people) and the other is relatively normal (normal as in kinda close to actual regular c!crimeboys dynamic I guess. But not quite. Because this is an AU)
