“How’re you feeling?” Rhett asks, because it’s better than the defensive what? that he wants to come out with. Link takes a few steps forward, closer to Rhett, before he stops and crosses his arms.
“That’s all you’ve got?” he demands.
“What do you want me to say?”
“I don’t know, man. You’re overreacting? We can’t do this?” Link’s cheeks are splotchy under his red-rimmed eyes and Rhett realizes he musta been crying. “The truth.”
