Summary
Viper hated Sage with a passion that most could never experience, much less hope to describe. It choked her, sometimes—that hatred. Like smoke in her lungs, ashes in her throat. Burning and crackling and destructive and fueled by nothing more than old wounds. Forgiveness was not a term in Viper's vocabulary.
Sage wished she hated Viper. There was something horrifying about the ruthless chemist, something that made Sage’s heart beat faster and throat constrict. Viper was, in a way, the worst thing that had ever happened to her. Karma personified, a culmination of Sage's failure and no less cruel for it.
Yet they never could quite stay away from each other, could they?

Summary
As the Valorant Protocol finds all of its hands both on deck and full, Viper and Sage are no exception as they are sent on a rather unique mission: To conduct investigations in the US East Coast's most vibrantly dark port city. And in a city full of lost dreams, the silence is as deafening as the gunfire.
A meditation on loneliness, love, hate, grief, and everything else that makes people remember how human they are always destined to be.

Summary
Despite being the second in demand of Valorant, being one of the only people (besides Skye) who others rely on to live through every mission, and being the one who is supposed to be calm and collected, Sage feels small. Insignificant in front of everything else. Even when she gets hurt, it's ok. Others first, after all.
Viper, fueled by anger and revenge. Blocking out everyone, especially those who get in her way. When everything is over, what would be left of her?
The two have always been on edge with each other after their failed collaboration. But when presented with certain circumstances, maybe they aren't so different after all.
*First chapter is mainly Sage's POV while the 2nd is mainly Viper's
