Summary
Fifteen years after the 4th Shinobi World War and his decision to protect Konoha, Sasuke begins to see the cracks in his life in Konoha, as though the illusions he was living in had finally shattered. He realises he isn't seen as a person in the village. Just a tool being used to keep the image of the village clean and its powers intact, while justice for him, his brother, and his clan remains a faraway fantasy.
He leaves the village, despite a promise he once made himself for his brother's sake, certain that he would be branded as a rogue ninja, making an enemy of Konoha. Not something Itachi would have wanted.
However, he is set on following his brother's footsteps, when a phantom of his past appears before him again. A memory that's more solid and more living. A memory that breathes.
