Law looks up at him, but he doesn’t answer. He raises an eyebrow at Sabo. Golden orbs meeting Sabo’s hazel ones.
“Being there, all alone,” Sabo justifies himself. He felt the need to, under the gold stare.
“I’ve been here for as long as I can remember, you don’t feel alone when you’ve always been on your own.”
“And being maybe the last one of your kind?”
Another pause. Law adverts his eyes from him and fiddles with his nails, instead. His gaze gets lost in the flame under the pot, making his eyes seem sweeter. But much more sad.
“Yeah, I do.”
Sabo’s gut feeling is telling him that Ace will be fine on his own quest, and that he made the right choice by staying here, on this fucking boring planet.
