Summary
Some days, it’s like this:
It’s early in the morning, a quiet, hazy hour.
The pair of them move idly around in Kara’s apartment, basking in the gentle warmth of the sunshine streaming into the open space. Kara’s hunched over the stove, still in the loose t-shirt and a pair of boxer briefs she’s worn to bed, humming to herself as she’s flipping pancakes. The hair on the back of her head is sticking up a little, messy from sleep and even messier from Lena’s morning ministrations. The pancakes smell a little burnt.
As far as images of domestic bliss go, it’s all rather mundane and unglamorous.
Lena’s utterly, hopelessly in love with every minute detail of it.

A series of kisses.

Summary
“Kara,” she breathes, drawing closer. She reaches out even without meaning to, her fingers almost touching Kara’s face. “You need help. Please, let me–”
Her hand is caught in Kara’s iron grip instead, not yet painful, but firm, unyielding.
“Do not mistake me for yourself, Lena Luthor,” Kara says, and the red veins on her face shine brighter for a moment. “I don’t need fixing.”

Summary
The moment Kara finally sees the sorceress, the hair on the back of her neck stands on end.
She’s not fearsome, really. If anything, she almost looks harmless there, peeking out from under her furs and duvet with eyes still half-lidded, hair tousled from her slumber. Adorable, if witchers were inclined to think such sentimentalities.
But Lena Luthor, small, pale, and sleepy, also exudes such force of magic that it sends Kara’s medallion rattling madly against her chest under her shirt. The witcher’s senses alight with a power unlike any she’s encountered in years and years, a might more fearsome than a roaring dragon’s own.

“I want there to be an us again,” Andrea says. The words sound confident, almost rehearsed, but the look in her eyes is nothing but pleading. “Not L-Corp and Obsidian and a corporate partnership. Lena and Andrea.”

Summary
“Would you swear on the cross?” Lena asks, half-teasing, and without even a second thought, Kara drops to her knees, drawing Lena’s hand between her own.
“I would swear on my love.”
Lena chokes back something that sounds halfway between a laugh and a sob, and wipes her eye with the heel of her palm.
“You’re incorrigible.” She bends down, pressing a kiss to the top of Kara’s head. “All ready for war then, my knight.”

Anno Domini 1187; Kara's life turns upside down for the second time, and she learns that a journey to the Holy Land holds more than one treasure.

Summary
Kara changes her life in every way, changes her more than Lena could have ever thought possible. And in the process, Lena falls, inevitably, tragically, and falls hard.
She can handle it, Lena decides very early on. She knows that she could not ever be worthy of Kara’s love like that: her conviction only grows stronger once Kara unbuttons her shirt with a shy, shaky smile, and reveals the shining crimson S beneath it. Lena forbids herself of even dreaming of such things, then, and shoves her feelings far, far down in her heart. But the friendship can still be kept, nourished, so Lena draws a meticulous list in her head of permissible and forbidden, of the ways she might allow herself to receive and return Kara’s affections.
Dancing is not one of them.

Or, Lena Luthor's long and complicated history of dancing.

Summary
Lena could probably dedicate an ode to how devastatingly stunning Kara is now, the haircut making her features even more dashing, the suit somehow fitting even tighter around her rippling muscles. It takes the steady uptick of Lena’s heart, the usual effect of Kara’s presence, into what feels like a mad overdrive – she’s surprised Kara hasn’t expressed concern for her health yet, or thought that Lena was suffering some minor cardiac episode.
(The moment may not be far.)

Summary
In the year it has taken for them to grow close again, then even more close, Lena’s learned that even when Kara’s gone, her presence lingers. Some of it is expected and evident: an oversized sweater strewn over Lena’s pristine couch from their last movie night, a notepad forgotten at her office, the alerts she sneakily sets on Lena’s phone to remind her to eat and leave work at a reasonable hour. Others are more complex, ever-varying: the world seems to be limitless in sensations that can conjure up Kara in her mind.

Summary
Of mercenaries, Machiavelli writes: “they are disunited, ambitious, and without discipline, unfaithful, valiant before friends, cowardly before enemies; they have neither the fear of God nor fidelity to men”.
The Kryptonian captain is the worst of their kind, ruthless, ferocious, and unscrupulous, one who could never be charged with cowardice. There is not a fight the Red Daughter has not won, not a city she has not attacked and brought to its knees. There is no man, woman, or child in Italy who would not tremble at her name.
It is exactly why Lex Luthor hires her to head his army that he sets out to wipe his bastard sister’s city off the face of the earth.

Summary
It’s unprofessional to fall in love with your co-star on your first major gig. Kara keeps telling herself that, keeps reciting it in her head desperately and hoping it might stick. It’s just bad form, an unnecessary complication, a whole minefield.
The thing is, it’s very hard not to, when your co-star is Lena Luthor.

The Houses of Luthor and El have been rivals for centuries: that is, until princesses Lena and Kara meet.
A fic that was intended as an ASoIaF AU, but for now is just a gay mess.
