“Hell no, I’d be wired all night. I don’t know how you do it,” Ava barely looked up from her phone. Bucky simply shook his head, a glimmer of confusion in his eyes, and went back to writing.
“Alright, screw you guys I guess. This is what I get for trying to be nice,” Walker shook his head and sipped his cup. “What about you, Bob? You want some or are you gonna make an asshole comment too?”
“I’ll have some.”

“I’m Courtland,” The kid paused, staring at Holland for a moment with an intensity he had never seen in any teenager's eyes. Even Holly’s determined glare couldn’t beat this kid. “Maggie’s son.”
Holland could have been shot in the heart with his gun and it would have had the same effect as those words.
“And this is Ryland and Colt.” Courtland continued, nodding his head to the two beside him. Neither moved at the acknowledgment of their names. No tiny waves or whispered greetings. They were unnervingly silent and still.
Holy shit. Holy fucking shit...How on earth did his dead sister’s children end up on his doorstep beaten and bloodied?

Summary
Jackson Healy has two problems.
The first is that he is nearly incapable of saying no to one Holland March, his business partner, housemate, and long-term… whatever they are.
The second is that March can be a bit of an idiot at times and apparently thinks that usually prefers topping means always prefers topping, which is a load of bull.
(In other words: Healy gets to be the one who causes problems for once, March is like “well if you wanna be me so bad you should let me top,” and Healy immediately says “okay bet.”)

Healy sighs at the man. “It’s not psychic, I’ve just been around Holly long enough now to get a pretty good read on her. And you, might I add.”
March glares at him, but neither of them bring up the first time they met, and Healy had been able to tell. He knew, and March knew he knew, and for the longest five seconds of Holland’s life he’d been pinned down in his own goddamn kitchen by the first Alpha he’d had physical contact with since his wife died. Healy just breaking his arm had almost been a relief at that point.
Holland March is an Omega, and his business partner that he only has the most professional relationship with is an Alpha. Even though neither of them have mates, that is absolutely not a problem, because, again, Holland March is a consummate professional. And he doesn’t go into heat anymore.
