Eloise almost wished that she had stayed in Scotland.
Yes, Scotland did not have nearly as many people willing to talk to her without requiring a translator, and she had missed her family, especially Penelope. But coming home also reminded her of what she had been running away from.

Summary
Daphne thanked her lucky stars that the scandal of her birth, revealed days before her first birthday, had been mostly eclipsed by the news of Harry Potter defeating the Dark Lord days later.
The effects of being part-Dementor, unfortunately, were not so easily hidden.

In Obi-Wan’s defense, Maul had asked for it. He’d literally told Obi-Wan to embrace the dark side. What, exactly, had Maul been expecting Obi-Wan to do?
Cutting off his head was probably pretty low on the list.

Summary
When Obi-Wan got back from Naboo, things were...different. The Jedi council had never been so cold to him, but his friends were the same as ever. Grappling with the death of his Master and the young boy he'd promised to raise, he didn't have much time to reflect on it. If he fought hard against the rising darkness, he could beat it back and only use the light. If he closed his eyes in front of the mirror, he didn't have to see their new yellow color. If he just ignored it, it would all go away.
Right?(Obi-Wan kills Maul on Naboo. This changes everything and nothing.)
