She'd never seen anything like it before. Not even in her research. She’s waited for it to resurface ever since, so she could get a better look, but it never showed itself again. Since then, she's noticed a few other oddities around the cove. A large purple iridescent scale, some long, sharp shed claws, and even odd scuff marks along the shore… like something had beached itself before returning to the water.
Zoey guessed that it could be an undiscovered species. So that was what her dissertation would be about! Whatever this thing is, Zoey is going to be the first one to discover it! It would do wonders for her career if she could name a new animal after herself.

Quietly, Mira sat on the sidelines. She was supposed to be focused on helping Rumi make Zoey feel good, but… she liked watching them, letting them get lost in each other, just as much as she loved to take part in ruining their younger girlfriend. But she can't keep her mind from drifting to what it must feel like for Zoey, taking Rumi when she’s so feral and so close to losing herself to the demon. To be taken so carnally, to be so lost in each other's pleasure that Rumi is practically letting her demon half take over her common sense.
She imagines herself in Zoey's position, even though she's never shown interest in bottoming before, and her pride is too big to start now. Still, her mind betrays her, and with the way Zoey rocks above her, she can almost feel how Rumi's hips would press into hers, imagine the bruises Rumi would leave on her. Just thinking about those glowing amber eyes, Rumi taking her in with that hunger she wears so well, makes her thighs clench.

Now it was Rumi's turn to blush. She didn't know how to tell Zoey that the smell of her blood was awakening that demon side of her. That it was starting to make her brain melt and a mild heat pool under her naval. She also, wasn't sure how to admit that, having sex with someone on their period was already something she had researched earlier and considered *heavily*, since it helped with cramping.
