Perhaps this was a good sign. A step in the right direction and away from his downwards spiral of uuuggghhhh. Because the way Mettaton saw it, he now had one of two options.
One: retreat to the lukewarm comforts of a lumpy couch until he became one with the cushions and waited until the inevitable heat death of the universe collapsed onto him to finally end the soul-crushing boredom.
Or two: watch whatever the hell was on his newly acquired TV.
Alone and bored to death, Mettaton looks for a way to pass the time while the Internet is down. Good news, he does. Bad news... uh, it’s totally normal to want to kiss your recently acquired TV, right? (asking for a friend, haha...)

Gordie’s ears must be as good as his fashion sense because he’s somehow able to hear him over the din coming from the bathroom. He emerges, wiping his hands on a towel, and then he’s intently studying Raihan’s body like he isn’t at all perturbed by a bare chest.
It’s more than a little embarrassing. Even more so with what Gordie says. “No, no. I think we can make this work.”
Seems he’s a miracle worker in addition to a veteran stain buster.
